WE ARE THE SCRIPTURES
Today, research in the recent history of believers experiences, shows that more people are drawn to the faith by the witness of actual events, rather than by doctrines and quoting of Scriptures! The 1st Century Ekklesia (the ones called out, the many-membered body of Christ), referred to as church did not have a New Testament, they were the New Testament and as such, they turned the local world upside down after the baptism of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost! The Spirit brought to their remembrance every word that Christ ever spoke to them!
As the disciples spoke His words to one another, ate and digested them, they became the Scriptures. The disciples then spoke these words that are spirit and life to all who would give an ear to hear.
2 Corinthians 3: 2,3 Paul says to the people of Corinth, "You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all people, revealing yourselves, that you are a letter of Christ, delivered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of God, not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of human hearts." Living Epistles are here today to speak a Word that reveals Christ to hungry hearts.

One of my favorite songs we sing during worship has these words, "Words of Spirit, words of life, eternal life giving word. We eat and find our delight, in the word of the Lord!" The longer we live in this physical realm, the more we realize that there is nothing in this world that can satisfy our spirits! Our spirit requires spiritual food. Jesus spoke these words in Matthew 4:4 "Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."
God's word is Spirit and life. The analogy given in spiritual terms is; the Shepherd is to lead the sheep to the greener pastures of God's word. As we, the sheep, feed upon, eat of, digest it and speak God's word to one another, we create one another into living epistles. Literally, we become, like Christ, the Word made flesh. Eventually, we grow stronger in spirit, with the help of the Holy Spirit! God's word reveals God's divine nature to us; therefore, we cry out to Him with a hunger to appropriate more of Him in our worship and communion!
What Christ accomplished on the cross, opened the door for all to appropriate the fullness of the Father that is contained in His first-born Son. Now, the many sons and daughters who make up the body of Christ will be filled with the fullness of the Father through appropriation and as a result, we will be enabled to do the "greater works" that Jesus spoke we would do, as we walk out our destiny in the days ahead, thank you, Lord!

There are a number of things revealed in this account found in Matthew 16:13-18! Peter answers Christ's question by saying, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God!" The confirmation that came from Jesus by the Holy Spirit, speaks to Peter, "Flesh and blood, (man) did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in the heavens." The next thing Jesus reveals is the truth of who the true church is and what the foundation is that we are to build upon!
Jesus says, "You are Peter, (petros, meaning little pebble or small rock), and upon this Rock (Solid foundation) of revelation that comes from My Father, I will build My Ekklesia or Ecclesia which means, 'the ones called out', the many-membered body of Christ. We are this living breathing spiritual body of believers where every joint and part supplies making increase of itself in love according to Ephesians 4:15&16.
Revelation is the foundation of this many-membered body of our Lord Jesus Christ with Him being the Head. We refuse to lean on our own understanding and submit our will to the Lord and see His will be done His way! This people of revelation are the true family of God in this day of the kingdom!

OUR WALK WITH CHRIST IN HIS BODY TODAY
John 3:6 states, "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." John 1:12,13 says, "as many as received Christ, to them He gave the right (power) to become the children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born of God." This is the "Born again" experience! Our spirit comes alive through the salvation experience which is the beginning process of our spiritual walk with Jesus.
Each one of us individually, come into the body of Christ, unique and diverse as little children with open hearts and humble spirits, then Christ opens the door for us to relate to the Father because Jesus is the only One who has seen the Father! Over time we mature and come into a greater oneness with Christ, the Father and one another in this spiritual organism known as the body of Christ. This is the Family of God which is a part of the Kingdom of God!
Even though Jesus is capable of doing everything Himself, He chooses to impart the fullness of the Father to and thru His body! The cry from hungry hearts is to know the Lord in a greater way. He gives us eyes to see and ears to hear. He becomes greater to us every day. The Father is being revealed in us more and more because Christ is revealing Him to us, in a greater way. We are Christ's body functioning in the earth being led by the Holy Spirit! Thank you, Lord!
