Mabel Ninan

I’m Mabel—a wife, mom, award-winning author, speaker, and podcaster. I’m here to walk the pilgrim path with you, to encourage you to fix your eyes on Jesus as you navigate the ups and downs of the journey and to inspire you to anchor your trust and hope in Him. My book, Far from Home: Discovering Your Identity as Foreigners on Earth, draws from my personal experience as an immigrant and examines the lives of biblical heroes to shed light on how we can find purpose and joy as sojourners on earth. As an immigrant from India who’s lived in seven cities and ten homes across the U.S. in fifteen years, I navigate between cultures, feeling at home nowhere and everywhere. My writings have appeared in The Upper Room, CBN.com, Leading Hearts Magazine, Arise Daily, and (in)courage.me. I’ve been a contributor to Guideposts' All God's Creatures: Daily Devotions for Animal Lovers since 2022. My podcast, Far from Home with Mabel Ninan, encourages believers to adopt a heavenly perspective on faith, life, and culture. I enjoy dancing, traveling, and reading but nothing gives me greater joy than talking about the Bible and praying with fellow believers. I have an M.A. in Theological Studies from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I live in Northern California with my husband and teenage son.
