5th Annual International Water Safety Day Festival

Johnnie Means Aquatics (JMA) will host the 5th Annual International Water Safety Day (IWSD) festival on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM, held at the Blue Triangle Community Center. Phillips 66 is the presenting sponsor for the 5th Annual International Water Safety Day.

This event aims to raise awareness about water safety measures and equip individuals with skills and knowledge to prevent drowning tragedies.

Activities and Learning Opportunities will include:

Drowning Prevention Workshops: Where experts will discuss risk factors, early warning

signs, and crucial interventions for preventing drowning in open water and swimming pools.

Learn-to-Swim Demonstrations: Where participants will witness certified instructors display swimming techniques and basic survival skills for all ages and abilities.

Lifeguard Training Session: Lifeguards will demonstrate rescue techniques and learn about their role in ensuring public safety at aquatic facilities.
