Can you think of a time when we need prayer more than today?
Once again, on Nov. 25th, the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, the people of the Panhandle will come together in prayer for the 36th time at the Amarillo Community Prayer Breakfast, giving thanks to God for the blessings He has bestowed on our community and asking for His continued guidance for our city, state and national leaders.
We are honored to welcome Julie Miller as our speaker this year. Julie is the Executive Director and co-founder of the Adera Foundation, a Christian nonprofit organization serving vulnerable families in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. After raising six children and spending decades working with children and families in her hometown of Ft. Worth, Texas, Julie felt called to serve more globally. In 2009, after visiting Ethiopia and witnessing firsthand the deep poverty impacting mothers and children, she helped launch Adera with a mission to share the Gospel while providing practical support through education, employment, and spiritual development. Grounded in her faith, Julie believes in empowering women to follow Christ and care for their families with dignity and hope. Since becoming Executive Director in 2012, she has worked to connect people and resources in the U.S. to needs in Ethiopia, helping families break cycles of poverty through faith-driven, sustainable solutions.
We hope you will join us at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25th, at the Amarillo Civic Center North Exhibit Hall to hear Julie’s powerful message, but more importantly, to pray and acknowledge our community’s dependence on God. Tables of eight are available for $250 and will be assigned in the order received. Seating is determined on a first-come basis, so please don’t delay.
Please prayerfully consider your support of the Amarillo Community Prayer Breakfast. We hope you will join us as we celebrate the start of Thanksgiving week.
