Welcome to Big Wick's 2nd Annual Carne Guisada Cookoff!
Carne Guisada - stewed beef tips in a Mexican gravy. It is a great cold weather food, best enjoyed with a fresh hot tortilla!
We’re thrilled to once again partner with our friends at Raider Red Meats for another fantastic, family-friendly event — but this year, we’re taking it up a notch! We’re moving to a larger venue at the Kitalou Gin to make the event even bigger and better. The owners have generously offered their space in support of this great cause, and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Idalou Meals on Wheels.
Come join us for a sizzling event where talented home chefs & restuarant owners will showcase their best carne guisada recipes. This cookoff is all about celebrating delicious food, friendly competition, and great company.
Whether you're a seasoned cook or just love good food, this event is sure to tickle your taste buds. Bring your friends and family to enjoy a day filled with savory aromas and flavorful food. We will also have live music from Casey Cash Heckman & Danny Cadra, celebrity judges, vendors of various sorts, a silent auction & door prizes.
100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Idalou Meals On Wheels.
