Hayden Miller will be performing an evening of piano music by Beethoven, Brahms, Cashian, Davis, and Gershwin. This is a free concert.

Join us as Hayden Miller takes the stage to present FATA MORGANA at St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

About the Artist

Hayden Miller is a pianist from Houston, Texas. With repertoire ranging from Louis Couperin to Alexina Louie, he often travels beyond the canon of classical music, creating interdisciplinary experiences with visual artists, writers, actors, and dancers. He currently studies at the Royal Academy of Music with Mei-Ting Sun, where he was the 2023 recipient of the WH and George Myddleton Award.

Hayden was a 2023 YoungArts winner and received top prizes in the Oberlin Piano Competition and the Houston International Music Competition. Additionally, his performances have been featured on multiple radio programs including the BBC, NPR’s Encore Houston and The Houston Hour, as well as at PianoTexas, the Curtis Institute of Music, and the International Florence Price Festival. He recently made debuts at music festivals in Italy and Finland.

Hayden takes a special interest in new music and frequently appears with the Manson Ensemble. Additionally, he has performed at the Folkestone New Music Festival alongside members of the RIOT Ensemble. In 2024, Hayden took part in the first complete performance of György KurtĂĄg’s JĂĄtĂ©kok and appeared in the TĂȘte-Ă -TĂȘte Opera Festival. Composers he has worked with include Hans Abrahamsen, Augusta Read Thomas, and Anna Meredith. His debut recording of music by Stewart Lane released in September 2025 on all streaming platforms.

An avid collaborator, Hayden is currently a member of the Primrose Trio, the Tesela Trio, and frequently works with Olivia Gonzales. He has also collaborated with Lucy Wang (Viano String Quartet), Ryan Martin Bradshaw, and Julia Hall. Additionally, Hayden has music directed productions of Dreamgirls and Mamma Mia!.

Hayden began his studies with Piper Ward and later studied with Jennifer Hayghe. He received a diploma in Piano Performance from the Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and has also received invaluable mentorship from Catharine Lysinger and Becker KB.
