This Labor Day weekend, beat the heat and enjoy an afternoon of inspiration, creativity, arts, and community at this all-ages celebratory event featuring original art by local seniors, spicy snacks and tasty sips, and community arts activities!

When: Saturday, August 30th

Matinee Experience 2p to 6p

• Enjoy arts activities and inspiring displays featuring artwork by local seniors
• Delight in tasty sips and snacks, including Indian samosas, coffee, and chai (included with paid admission)

Soiree Experience 6p to 9p

• 6p to 7:30p: Create your own Texas-themed souvenir painting featuring a Texas Longhorn in a live step-by-step painting session along with other attendees! All supplies included, and you'll get to take your masterpiece home with you!
• 7:30p onwards: Enjoy live music during the evening portion of the event. Mingle, sip and snack, and enjoy the music, as you stroll around to admire inspiring displays of original art.

Fun Photo Opps and Activities All Day Long!

• Smile and take a photo with "Joy," our life-size Texas Longhorn lovingly handpainted by local senior community members on a 12-foot backdrop with a hill country landscape scene.
• Enjoy arts activities and contribute to fun community arts projects, such as making a tile for the Citywide Community Tile Mosaic, a project we've been curating all summer long with contributions from community members across Austin.
• Spend some time at the Cards for Seniors table with other community members and work together to craft a few handmade cards for local seniors living in longterm care facilities.

All tickets include entry with plenty of time to enjoy photo opps, curated art displays, and community arts activities.

Matinee 2p to 6p

• Matinee Experience (12+)- Entry to daytime event, includes ticket for samosa and chai
• Matinee Experience (12 and under)- Free with purchase of adult entry (snacks not included and may be purchased as add-on at checkout)

Soiree 6p to 9p

• Soiree Experience-Entry to evening event with live music, includes ticket for samosa and chai, and a seat for the Texas Longhorn painting session at 6pm.
• VIP Soiree Experience- VIP evening experience, with unlimited snack pass with unlimited samosas and chai, VIP reserved seating at the Texas Longhorn painting session at 6pm, complimentary souvenir tote bag, and VIP reserved onsite parking at the venue.

Supporting a Cause We Can All Get Behind

All proceeds will support the Joy for Seniors initiative by Artly World Nonprofit. An annual tradition now in its third year, Joy for Seniors celebrates Austin seniors by showcasing their original works of art in an annual exhibition attended by friends, family, and community members.

It's about more than the artwork...It's a public platform for isolated seniors to feel seen and heard, in a world where they are often left feeling alone and invisible.
