Accounts Payable Manager

Description

        • American Track is seeking a highly organized and efficient Accounts Payable Manager to manage multi-site accounting functions. This role ensures timely processing of payment to vendor invoices and expenses, maintains accurate records and control reports, and required reporting. To succeed in this role, you will need to have a continuous process improvement approach, have excellent organizational, prioritization and interpersonal skills, be a team player, be knowledgeable of accounting and payroll compliance regulations, and maintain the highest level of confidentiality.

          Major Responsibilities

          The Accounts Payable Manager serves as subject matter expert for accounts payable, purchasing, and purchasing card accounting system modules, and policies.
        • In conjunction with CFO and Controller, develops and ensures compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
        • Prepare, maintain, balance, and analyze financial data related to AP functions.
        • Receive, research, and resolve a variety of internal and external inquiries concerning account status including communicating the resolution of discrepancies of the appropriate parties.
        • Review and approve journal entries for accuracy to ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
        • Reviews all invoices for the appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
        • Prepares and generates vendor payments and submits pay file to banking institution.
        • Maintains all AP reports, spreadsheets, and files.
        • Ensures all negotiated vendor payments are paid in accordance with the contract
        • Prepare reports of earnings, taxes, deductions, and other information as required
        • Perform any other job duties as assigned

        Education Required

        High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
      • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred

      Work Experience Required

      5 years of related experience is required, as individual contributor
    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in complex bookkeeping or equivalent education

    Skills & Knowledge

    Significant knowledge with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong computer skills and intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to work with all professional levels; must be a team player who can also work independently
