Responsibilities

As an Associate Director of HRIS Systems and Analytics, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) within our organization. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth operation of the HRIS, maintaining accurate employee data, and providing technical support to HR and other stakeholders. This role requires a strong understanding of HRIS systems, data management, and analytical skills to support HR functions and facilitate data-driven decision-making.


System Administration & Maintenance

  • Oversee and maintain the HRIS, including configuration, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Manage system operations, including permissions, user access, security, and data integrity.
  • Support critical system maintenance tasks, ensuring the system remains efficient and secure.
  • Ensure system compliance with data security, privacy, and cloud security requirements.


System Configuration & Development

  • Implement system upgrades to ensure the HRIS is current with the latest features and security.
  • Develop and program custom functions, reports, and automated queries to support org. needs.
  • Act as the system administrator for HR platforms (e.g., Ceridian Dayforce, Workday, Oracle, SAP).
  • Translate business needs into clearly defined technical requirements and configurations.
  • Use basic XML knowledge to build out/reconfigure the system.


Data Management & Integration

  • Manage database operations, including data storage, accuracy, and security.
  • Use SQL to query and manage large datasets within the HRIS.
  • Handle data integration with enterprise systems using APIs, web services, and ETL processes.
  • Ensure seamless data migration, transformation, and synchronization across systems.


Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues such as performance problems and data discrepancies.
  • Utilize debugging techniques to address system errors and performance issues efficiently.


Process Improvement & Automation

  • Lead process automation using scripting languages like Python/JavaScript to reduce manual workloads.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to streamline and automate HR processes.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.


Data Reporting & Analysis

  • Compile and deliver complex data reports, summaries, and logs for executives and HR staff.
  • Use Business Intelligence tools like Tableau, and Power BI to create dashboards and extract data insights.
  • Present actionable insights and analytics to stakeholders for data-driven decision-making.


Collaboration & Project Management

  • Collaborate with the People Team, IT, the Finance Team, and others to identify and implement system enhancements.
  • Act as a liaison between the People Team, IT, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS projects.
  • Lead IT project management efforts related to HRIS upgrades, integrations, and process automation.


Training & Change Management

  • Create/update training guides and standard operating procedures for users and admins tied to system verticals.
  • Hold team training as the system is built out and configured.
  • Work with team members to find common pain points and provide best practice system solutions.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant HRIS experience, including implementation and system optimization.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, data management principles, and system configurations.
  • Excellent technical aptitude, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.



Compensation

Salary offers for this position range from $90,000 - $115,000. Salaries are determined

using an equitable compensation scale that accounts for years of experience and levels of

attained education.

Location & Work Arrangement

  • Based in our Brooklyn, NY office
  • Hybrid work schedule requiring in-office presence at least three days per week

In-person work expectations include network office time, stakeholder meetings, school visits, special events, and other role-specific responsibilities as determined by management.
