Job Summary: Manages daily operations of assigned clinic location(s), serving as liaison between medical staff and corporate administrative staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manages the care team; interviews / hires / coaches / develops staff
- Onboards / trains new team members
- Guides / directs team members to ensure contracts and services performed meet H-E-B Wellness Primary Care (WPC) expectations
- Leads day-to-day practice management; focuses on achieving high-quality and high-patient engagement
- Implements WPC standards of care and operations workflows
- Manages schedules for efficiency and optimal staff coverage, including PRN talent pools
- Using WPC patient-centered medical home approach, ensuring patient satisfaction and delivery of highestquality patient care
- Leads clinic-wide huddles and team meetings; ensures clinic team is kept informed of corporate / client communications and clinical practice updates
QUALIFICATIONS & KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Directly supervises and advises hourly Partners setting day-to-day objectives, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, pursuing effective
processes, and maintaining schedules. Directs team to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies. Work assignments are predetermined, limited in scope, follow established practices and procedures, and are subject to a moderate level of control and review. A portion of time is normally spent performing individual tasks related to the team/department.
Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve goals may impact team/department deadlines, resources, and/or results. May recommend improvements and manage costs.
Develops and administers schedules and performance requirements. Assists with managerial decisions and activities including hiring, firing, performance
appraisals, and pay reviews.
Technical, vocational, or bachelor's degree in a relevant field of education and/or relevant work experience. Completion of H-E-B leadership programs where
applicable.
- 3+ years of clinical experience (preferred)
- 1+ years of experience staffing and managing teams or equivalent experience
- Clinical experience; experience staffing / managing teams or operating / managing a multispecialty, multi-provider facility
- Experience in primary care, physical medicine, and other ancillary services
- Experience in outpatient care and urgent care
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced organization skills
- Advanced computer skills
- Ability to apply a strong work ethic, efficiently focused on results and outcomes
- Ability to stay adaptable to changing priorities
- Ability to work in a team environment, and autonomously as needed
