Client Desktop Administrator – Office 365 Focus

Location: Fort Worth & Coppell, TX

Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire

Position Summary

The Enterprise Client Endpoint Services team is seeking a Desktop Administrator with strong experience in Office 365 administration and endpoint configuration across a large enterprise environment. This role will manage the full lifecycle of desktop systems, but with an increased emphasis on administering, securing, and supporting the Office 365 suite—including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Defender, Purview, and Intune. You will also ensure compliance with security policies and enterprise standards while collaborating with IT leadership on evolving M365 governance and configuration.

Key Responsibilities

Office 365 Administration & Security

  • Administer the full O365 environment including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Intune
  • Monitor and respond to security-related alerts within Defender, Intune, and Azure AD
  • Manage access controls, MFA policies, conditional access, and DLP configurations
  • Support O365 tenant administration including license assignment, compliance auditing, and usage analytics
  • Maintain current knowledge of Microsoft 365 features, releases, and security protocols
  • Collaborate with InfoSec to ensure Microsoft cloud platforms meet enterprise security standards

Endpoint Management & Engineering

  • Develop, test, and maintain Windows client OS images (Windows 10/11)
  • Build and document standardized client deployment procedures
  • Provide Tier 3 support for desktop issues related to OS configuration, security compliance, and software compatibility
  • Utilize tools such as SCCM, PDQ, Intune, or Big Fix to deploy and manage software
  • Configure and enforce system hardening baselines and compliance policies
  • Contribute to the desktop hardware/software roadmap and support new technology rollouts
  • Manage patching and upgrade schedules for all client devices

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in enterprise desktop administration
  • Proven background in Office 365 tenant administration and security protocols
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Defender, Intune, Azure AD Conditional Access, DLP, and compliance centers
  • Experience with SCCM, PDQ Deploy, HPDM, or other software distribution tools
  • Strong understanding of PowerShell scripting and automation workflows
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 and Mac OS; Linux (RHEL) is a plus
  • Microsoft 365 certifications or MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Administrator certification preferred
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
