Description

Job Summary – Field IT Infrastructure & Support Specialist (Oil & Gas)

Deploy, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure at offshore platforms, onshore drilling sites, and corporate offices.
Provide hands-on field support for desktops, laptops, printers, iOS/Android devices, and enterprise software.
Troubleshoot and support networking (LAN/WAN, Cisco, Fortinet), satellite communication systems (e.g., VSAT), and wireless networks.
Support rig-based software (e.g., WellView, RigSense, Pason, Landmark) and coordinate with vendors for technical resolution.
Perform rig-up and rig-down of IT hardware during site mobilization and demobilization activities.
Deliver AV setup and meeting room technology support (projectors, cameras, microphones, displays).
Maintain accurate documentation including network diagrams, hardware/software inventory, and incident logs.
Train rig and field personnel on IT systems, tools, and communication protocols.
Participate in IT incident response and disaster recovery planning for drilling operations.
Provide remote support using tools like LogMeIn; manage and resolve a range of incident types (VIP, P2-P4, service requests).
Work rotational shifts in challenging, safety-focused oil & gas environments, requiring a valid driver’s license and HUET/BOSIET certification.
