About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Front-End Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of making learning accessible and effective through technology. In this role, you will serve as a technical leader and visionary for our user interfaces, overseeing complex, high-traffic web applications. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to develop scalable, performant, and accessible frontend solutions. Your expertise will guide architectural decisions, enforce best practices, and mentor team members to ensure high-quality deliverables. Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience with at least 7 years focused on frontend development.
• Proven track record working on complex, high-traffic web applications.
• Expert-level proficiency in modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Deep experience with React ecosystem and related frontend technologies.
• Extensive experience in AWS-based cloud architecture environments.
• Strong understanding of modern software engineering practices, design patterns, and architecture principles.
• Experience with AI-native tools such as Cursor, Make.com, Supabase, Netlify, Claude Code, n8n, Firecrawl, ChatGPT, Grok, Bolt, Vercel, etc.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring senior engineers and leading technical teams.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on scalable and user-centric solutions.
• Ownership mentality with willingness to contribute through coding, code reviews, and technical guidance.
• Ability to develop customer-facing solutions that prioritize user experience and meet real customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical reference for the frontend squad and broader engineering team, ensuring adherence to best practices in architecture, performance, and accessibility.
• Lead design and architectural discussions for frontend systems, making critical decisions on frameworks, state management, component architecture, and design systems.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code through regular code reviews and mentorship.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to understand requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure timely feature delivery.
• Contribute to the strategic vision of the engineering department, bringing innovative ideas to enhance customer-facing experiences.
• Address complex technical challenges by developing innovative solutions and optimizing existing systems for scalability and performance.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Implement and advocate for accessibility standards, performance optimization, and best practices in frontend development.
