Position Overview
The 30+ year company supports the petrochemical and manufacturing industry domestically and internationally and is positioned along the Gulf Coast providing training, occupational medicine, and innovative solutions to industry. The Graphic & Motion Designer plays a critical role in supporting training, customer service, and occupational health services across the organization. The Graphic & Motion Designer will support the Creative Learning Department by combining strong graphic design skills with advanced motion graphics and animation expertise. This role is critical in elevating training courses and corporate training roll-out communication packages through dynamic visual storytelling. The designer will take the lead on motion graphics projects while also producing high-quality graphic design deliverables, helping the department scale and innovate for both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Creative Execution
- Conceptualize, design, and produce motion graphics and animations for training courses, presentations, and communication packages.
- Animate icons, infographics, typography, and character-based elements to create engaging visual communication.
- Create 2D and 3D animations and support character animation for training and client projects.
- Develop templates, layouts, and brand-consistent design assets for corporate rollouts.
- Update and refresh existing design and animation assets while creating new, innovative concepts aligned with organizational objectives.
- Ensure consistency in brand identity and storytelling across static and animated deliverables.
Collaboration & Support
- Partner with Instructional Designers and Training teams to bring learning content to life through animation and design.
- Collaborate with external vendors (advanced animators, motion designers, video producers) when larger or specialized projects require additional resources.
- Contribute creative input during brainstorming sessions, campaign planning, and course design development.
Professional Growth & Contribution
- Stay current on motion design and animation trends, new tools, and eLearning technologies.
- Expand capabilities in 2D and 3D animation, character development, and interactive media.
- Provide expertise and feedback to strengthen the department’s animation standards and creative workflows.
- Take initiative in improving project organization and delivering high-quality animation projects on time.

The Graphic & Motion Designer will be an analytical and outside-the-box thinker with developed interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Animation, Multimedia, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of professional design experience with proven motion graphics portfolio.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Advanced expertise in Adobe After Effects (motion graphics, text animation, compositing).
- Knowledge principles of photography and film.
- Experience with 2D animation, 3D basics (Cinema 4D, Blender a plus), and character animation.
- Understanding of typography, color, composition, and visual storytelling principles.
- Ability to manage projects independently and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Design at a professional level and lead motion graphics/animation projects.
- Transform static visuals into dynamic, engaging multimedia content.
- Balance creative innovation with attention to detail and brand consistency.
- Collaborate effectively while also thriving independently.
Requirements
- Proven graphic design experience as demonstrated with submission of strong portfolio with application.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign required; After Effects, Premiere Pro a plus).
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to read, talk, or hear. Reporting Responsibilities
The Graphic Designer reports directly to the Manager of Creative Learning. This position does not include direct reports but provides opportunities for professional development and expanded responsibilities over time.
