Key Responsibilities
Plan, direct, and coordinate all IT-related activities, including network management, software development, and system administration. - Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrading of hardware, software, and IT systems.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure security, data integrity, and compliance with regulations.
- Manage IT staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure minimal downtime through effective disaster recovery and backup strategies.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technology needs and recommend solutions to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Manage IT budgets, negotiate with vendors, and oversee procurement of equipment and services.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend upgrades or new systems as needed.
- Ensure cybersecurity measures are in place, including firewalls, antivirus software, and employee training on security protocols.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on IT performance, projects, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). - 1+ years of experience in IT management or a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and database management.
- Proven experience managing IT projects, budgets, and teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CompTIA) are a plus.
