Job Summary:
Accorded is looking for a Data Integrations Specialist who thrives at the intersection of data, product, and customer success. The main responsibilities include designing data-ingestion specifications, guiding customers through onboarding, and ensuring data accuracy and quality throughout the integration process.
Responsibilities:
• Own the creation of file/API specs for new customers and data sources, mapping external fields to Accorded’s canonical models.
• Publish versioned spec documentation, sample files, and validation rules in collaboration with Product & Engineering.
• Serve as the primary technical point-of-contact during onboarding.
• Walk customers through specs, secure-transfer methods, and validation expectations.
• Translate customer questions into clear tickets or knowledge-base content.
• Run SQL queries to confirm schema, row-level, and aggregate accuracy.
• Investigate ingestion errors (schema drift, load failures) and resolve—or escalate when deeper fixes are required.
• Document recurring patterns to drive systemic improvements.
• Kick off and monitor scheduled dbt/ELT jobs; verify downstream tables and dashboards refresh successfully.
• Maintain runbooks and standard operating procedures so teammates can easily reproduce your steps.
• Capture enhancement ideas for tooling, metadata, and alerting.
• Work with Product & Engineering to refine data-quality rules, validation checks, and workflow automation.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Healthcare data experience (claims, EHR, eligibility, etc.) with working knowledge of HIPAA/PHI requirements
• 2+ years in data integrations, technical implementation consulting, or a similar customer-facing data role
• Fluency in SQL for ad-hoc analysis and troubleshooting; comfort with at least one cloud warehouse (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.)
• Python (basic scripting) for file inspection, small data fixes, or API calls
• Proven ability to create and maintain clear data specification documents (CSV/JSON/XML schemas, field dictionaries, validation rules)
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong organizational skills—handle multiple customer timelines effectively while ensuring all commitments are met
Preferred:
• Hands-on familiarity with dbt or other ETL orchestration tools
• Experience writing or maintaining data-quality tests (e.g., dbt tests, Great Expectations)
• Exposure to actuarial, value-based care, or population-health analytics
• Prior experience in a startup or rapid-growth environment
