One of our staffing partners is searching for a Qa tester for a pharmaceutical client. Qa tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software applications through rigorous testing and validation. Ensuring the quality and reliability of Java-based applications. You will design and execute test plans, identify and report defects, and collaborate closely with developers to enhance software performance. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
Salary $55 to $70k. Due to the low rates only direct candidates please. No c2c candidates
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct manual and automated testing of software applications
- Identify, document, and report bugs and issues
- Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve defects
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Ensure software meets quality standards and business requirements
- Perform regression testing and validate fixes
- Stay up to date with testing methodologies and industry best practices
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
- Familiarity with testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, or TestRail
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for Java-based applications
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing
- Identify, document, and track bugs using issue-tracking tools
- Collaborate with developers to resolve software defects
- Ensure applications meet quality and security standards
- Automate test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG
- Conduct API testing and validate backend logic
- Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, Cucumber)
- Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies and tools
- Knowledge of scripting languages for automation testing is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Exposure to performance and security testing
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration testing
- Experience in performance testing tools like JMeter
- Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
- Knowledge of API testing with Postman or REST Assured
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
