        Job Overview

        The Quality Control Lead plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by leading and mentoring a team of Quality Control Inspectors. This individual supervises daily activities, ensures adherence to safety and quality standards, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement. The QC Lead motivates the team, encourages collaboration, and adapts to operational needs. This role reports directly to the Quality Supervisor and works closely with Production leadership.

        Primary Duties And Responsibilities

        Ensure all team members are properly trained to perform their job duties.
      • Train and develop backup personnel to support team flexibility.
      • Foster a strong team environment and encourage teamwork.
      • Make sure all team members are trained in safety and quality practices.
      • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions related to safety, quality, and production issues.
      • Support and promote a culture of continuous improvement by applying quality tools and leadership principles.
      • Lead daily floor meetings and maintain clear communication with the team.
      • Monitor team productivity and compliance with company procedures and standards.
      • Oversee attendance, break schedules, and shift transitions.
      • Coordinate with other departments to ensure parts and materials are available as needed.
      • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
      • Participate in daily GEMBA walks and report relevant updates to management.
      • Enforce all safety protocols and report incidents to the safety department.
      • Collaborate with QC Inspectors and supervisors to address quality concerns.
      • Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
      • Provide hands-on training and mentorship to new and existing employees.
      • Assist the Quality Supervisor/Manager in conducting employee evaluations.
      • Perform regular QC duties when not assisting others.
      • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

      Requirements

      1–2 years of experience in a leadership role.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
    • Must be flexible with work hours; may be required to stay late or work alternate shifts based on operational needs.

    Knowledge and Skills

    Understanding manufacturing processes, quality control practices, and cost efficiency is preferred.
  • Ability to lift items up to 60 lbs consistently.
  • Proficient in using and reading a tape measure.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality are required.
