Job Description
Scope of Position:
Project Cargo regional operations manager will work to develop business opportunities by preforming daily task in operations, pricing and new business development of Project Cargo Services. Expeditors Projects consist of both ad hoc heavy and over dimensional cargo and EPC opportunities.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
This person will serve in a business devolvement and operational capacity.
Responsibilities will include the following for operational task:
- Pricing & customer development support.
- Management of Specialized Cargo.
- Work with various products to facilitate and manage shipments.
- Planning and execution of shipments managed within the team.
- Ensure compliance with all internal procedures as well as all government regulations.
- Prepare transportation documents.
- Tracing / tracking of shipments
- Onsite support in supervision of loading, packing, and project execution.
- Accurate and timely billing.
- Customer service & relationship development.
- Vendor negotiations & relationship development.
- Overseas communications.
- Self-development - 52 hours of required training per year.
Qualifications
Skill and Knowledge Requirements:
- 5 + years’ experience in Project Logistics handling overweight, over dimensional loads via barge, rail, land, air & ocean.
- Knowledge in Export and import regulations.
- Pricing & Negotiation skills.
- Confident communication skills, including oral and written skills along with solid organization and time management.
- Possess a strong sense of customer service and adaptability.
- Ability to handle daily tasks and projects independently.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
