Scrum Master / Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking a highly capable Scrum Master/Project Manager to support our client’s IT Application Development team. This individual will play a critical role in delivering software that drives business value and enhances the experience for both internal stakeholders and end users. The ideal candidate will lead a cross-functional team—including developers, testers, and analysts—focused on modernizing and transforming data warehouse and reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication:

• Serve as a trusted partner to business stakeholders and IT teams across the organization.
• Provide exceptional customer service and proactively communicate risks, dependencies, and project progress.
  
  

Project Ownership And Delivery

• Take full ownership of assigned projects, tasks, issues, and impediments, driving them to completion in alignment with Company’s project management standards.
• Lead multiple scrum teams working on project-based initiatives, ongoing operations, and continuous improvement efforts.
  
  

Agile Facilitation And Implementation

• Promote and embed agile methodologies and best practices within team operations.
• Facilitate effective work breakdown, collaboration, and sprint/release planning aligned with project goals.
  
  

Scrum And Agile Ceremony Management

• Facilitate and participate in all core agile ceremonies including stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and demos.
• Maintain team artifacts and ensure organization of all iterative deliverables.
  
  

Technical And Business Analysis Support

• Interpret business processes and system interaction diagrams.
• Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and support solution design discussions.
• Encourage analytical and collaborative dialogue across the team throughout the project lifecycle.
  
  

Documentation And Tooling

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation such as JIRA stories and tasks, acceptance criteria, architecture diagrams, design artifacts, and project wikis.
• Utilize tools including JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, and PowerPoint to support project tracking and communication.
  
  

Performance Tracking

• Monitor agile flow metrics to evaluate team performance and overall project health.
  
  

Required Skills And Experience

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in agile project management of technical projects.
• Strong ability to interpret business processes and system interactions.
• Skilled at translating business requirements into actionable technical deliverables.
• Demonstrated ability to lead analytical and collaborative team discussions.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with experience managing agile ceremonies and project artifacts.
• Proven track record of clearly communicating risks, dependencies, and project status to stakeholders.
• Experience working closely with both business and IT teams.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Agile/Scrum training or certification.
• Experience with data warehouse and reporting systems.
• Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Teams.
