Position Summary:
Our partner, one of the
nation’s most respected healthcare systems, is moving quickly toward an
AI-first future and is transforming one of the most critical patient
touchpoints into a modern, highly effective call center experience. To complete
this task, they are looking for a high-skilled Voice AI Agent Specialist. Here
you’ll help design and scale voice-driven AI agents that take on high-volume
scheduling and support workflows that currently overwhelm call centers. If you
enjoy turning messy real-world processes into clear conversational workflows,
building Node-driven logic that plugs into complex systems, and architecting
voice AI that can scale to millions of interactions, this is a place to grow.
You’ll be the expert others rely on, shaping how intelligent voice agents
operate across an enterprise and setting the foundation for how AI supports
clinical operations.
Experience and Education:
- BS in Computer Science,
Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience/field
- Background building AI
voice agents using modern voice-AI platforms
- Experience translating
operational workflows into conversational or prompt-driven logic
- Prior work integrating AI
agents with backend systems using Node.js
- Exposure to large
call-volume environments, customer support automation, or telephony
workflows
- Experience scaling
prototypes into production-ready, high-volume systems
- Familiarity with multiple
voice AI frameworks and tools

Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Build, refine, and deploy
AI voice agents capable of handling large call volumes
- Translate hospital
workflows into structured conversational and prompt logic
- Develop Node-based scripts
and application logic to retrieve and schedule appointments
- Integrate voice agents
with backend scheduling and operational systems
- Improve and extend the
existing VAPI-based architecture
- Evaluate additional voice
AI tools and frameworks as needed
- Design for scalability,
moving from thousands to millions of interactions
- Collaborate with
engineering and operational teams to refine requirements
- Prototype new features and
test interaction flows
- Troubleshoot and optimize
voice agent performance in production
- Ensure conversational
accuracy and successful task completion
- Build repeatable patterns
for replicating and launching new voice bots
- Document logic, workflows,
and integration points
- Serve as the internal
subject matter expert for all voice AI technologies
- Contribute to a long-term
roadmap focused on enterprise-level automation
