Description
One of the largest ecological transformation companies is looking for a WebSmart Developer to join their REMOTE team!
The
client is looking for a WebSmart Developer to be responsible for designing,
developing, and maintaining web-based applications that interface with backend
IBM i (AS400) systems. This individual will work closely with business
analysts, stakeholders, and other developers to create efficient, user-friendly
applications that support enterprise operations and improve internal workflows.
Contract
Duration: 6-Month Contract with the opportunity for extension or conversion
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5
years of experience in WebSmart ILE or WebSmart PHP development.
- Strong
understanding of IBM iSeries (AS400) systems, including DB2 and RPG
programming.
- Experience
developing web applications with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Understanding
of RESTful services and API integrations.
- Familiarity
with source control tools such as Git.
What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
- Design,
develop, and maintain WebSmart ILE/RPG or WebSmart PHP applications.
- Build
web interfaces that connect to DB2 databases on IBM i (AS400).
- Modernize
existing green-screen applications into web-based systems.
- Collaborate
with business analysts and users to gather requirements and translate them
into functional applications.
- Integrate
applications with APIs, web services, or other enterprise platforms as
needed.
- Ensure
application performance, usability, and security across all supported
environments.
