‘Christ is King’ billboard unveiled in Florida’s most liberal county

(LifeSiteNews) — A group of Catholic pro-life activists gathered Saturday to celebrate the unveiling of LifeSiteNews’ first “Christ is King” billboard in Florida.

The billboard features a beautiful image of Jesus Christ with two fingers raised in blessing, symbolizing His Divine nature and human nature, alongside the words “Christ is King.”

The sign was recently erected in Pompano Beach in Broward County, the most liberal county in Florida, making it an especially needed reminder of Christ’s Kingship in the area. It is located at 1696 West Sample Road.

“There are lots of liberals in Broward County who have organized many ‘No Kings’ rallies,” noted Linda Hatlan, leader of 40 Days for Life in Fort Lauderdale who attended the billboard’s unveiling. “They all seem angry and antagonistic because they do not acknowledge God’s sovereignty. We pray that they may repent and accept the healing mercy of Jesus. Only then will they know the peace and joy that Jesus can give each of us.”

Karen Chin, a volunteer with 40 Days for Life, highlighted the power the billboard has to change hearts.

“The billboard is important to remind people of God, especially in this day when too many people have forgotten Him. It’s a beautiful picture honoring Him and hopefully people will say a prayer and put Him back in their life!” she told LifeSiteNews.

“Jesus Christ is above politics, culture, power and personal ambition,” said Vince Font, a member of Knights of Columbus 3080 and Knights With Bikes. “This billboard expresses hope, truth, mercy and the belief that Christ reigns through love and sacrifice.”

When mankind turns back to Christ the King, society will be transformed. Babies will be cherished and protected once again, families and communities will flourish, and the grace of God will transform hearts and prepare souls for eternal life with Him.
