(LifeSiteNews) — The murder of Charlie Kirk may change the political landscape forever. It could lead to a Christian revival or civil war in the U.S.

On the first episode of LifeSiteNews’ brand-new show, InFocus, the panelists discussed the deeper meaning and possible consequences of Charlie Kirk’s shooting.

Searle said that the memorial for Charlie Kirk, with 70,000 people in a stadium in Arizona that was being broadcast around the country and the world, was a significant moment in modern history as  ”every speaker named Jesus Christ in their speech.”

”So even if the theology isn’t quite there, I think it’s a really good sign that Kirk’s death may have sparked some sort of revival happening across America, which would be amazing to see.”

Searle stressed that the reaction to the assassination showed that the political sides are not equal, and that the violence is mainly coming from the left: “ I think across the country, this assassination was just a moment to show that the sides aren’t really the same.”

“In response to Charlie Kirk’s assassination, there was no violence from the right. There was no rioting or looting or anything like that. There was no retaliatory assassination.”

Wailzer posed the question of whether these differences with the left can be solved solely through debate or whether stronger legal action from conservatives is required.

“What I wonder is, can there be actual dialogue and a shared society with people like that?” he asked

“Can we continue to go on campuses and debate these things? Or is it just a time to say, ‘No, these ideologies are so dangerous, we just have to outright ban them.’”

”We have been at civil war for many years, and I think the left is not going to slow down,” Kokx stated.

“ But is there a way to come back from this without Christ? It is Christ or chaos,” he stressed.
