âTwo days ago, I fractured my L3 and L4,â the 30-year-old artist shared in a social media post over the weekend, adding the caption âturning lemons into lemonade.â Surveillance footage showed Frank falling off a skateboard and landing hard on the edge of a sidewalk.
Despite the injury, Frank began composing music from his bed. âI think Iâm gonna just sing whatever pops out, and Iâm gonna build the chords around it,â he explained in a video posted to TikTok.
Within hours, he had written a new song centered on faith and resilience. The track includes the lyrics:
âGodâs got my back/ Even when I fall or get attacked/ Godâs got my back/ Even when Iâm low and full of lack/ Godâs got my back/ Even when my soul is full of sorrow/ I donât have to worry about tomorrow.â
In a follow-up post, Frank revealed the accident happened while skateboarding with his 2-year-old son, Bodie. âIt was just a casual session⊠so I didnât even think to put a helmet on (hindsight is 20/20),â he wrote. âThankful to God that it wasnât any worse. Multiple fractures to L3 & L4. Will be laying in bed for a while⊠so sorry Grace,â he added, referring to his wife.
Frank said the new song had already gone viral, with hundreds of thousands of views and response videos within hours of its release. âGod is clearly breathing on this one,â he said.
Additional lyrics in the song reflect Frankâs persistent faith in the face of physical suffering:
âToday is the day that the Lord has made/ Even with all of the bad in it.â
