Daddy Yankee brings message of redemption to 2,000 inmates at maximum security prison

Renowned Puerto Rican urban music artist, Daddy Yankee, whose real name is Raymond Ayala, recently visited the Louisiana State Penitentiary.

As reported by Diario Cristiano Internacional, the Puerto Rican addressed an audience of approximately 2,000 inmates in the maximum security prison popularly known as "Angola."

Before a crowd that listened attentively, the urban exponent was emphatic in declaring that his motivation to be there was strictly spiritual. In the middle of his speech, he said with conviction: "I know your difficulties, I know your background, but what brought me here is the love of Jesus Christ."

Spiritual freedom beyond bars

Ayala took advantage of his influence to share that true slavery is often not the one imposed by physical walls, but the one that resides inside the human soul.

Reflecting on the peace he has found in his new stage of life, the singer maintained that: "The presence of Christ made me free because the worst prison has no bars, it is in the heart."

In a gesture of solidarity with the prison population, the artist assured the men that his presence there was a direct call from God to assure them that they hadn't been forgotten.

During the event, Ayala also recalled his beginnings and how his youthful impulsiveness was radically transformed by divine power.

A call to hope and eternity

The event culminated with a time of collective prayer, where it was highlighted that God's grace has no geographical limits or institutional barriers. In his final words of encouragement, Ayala assured those present that his life is invaluable in God's eyes.

As the artist rightly pointed out when describing the impact of the Holy Spirit in that maximum security enclosure, the message of salvation transcends the temporal.
