The Fellowship of Christian Farmers International (FCFI) is set to mark a significant milestone as it celebrates its 40th anniversary at its annual conference in Kalamazoo, MI, this July. The event, which promises both reflection and forward vision, will commemorate four decades of impactful, gospel-centered farming ministry and set the stage for the next 40 years of service.
âThis isnât just a celebrationâitâs a defining moment,â said Executive Director Dan Janzen. âItâs a time to reaffirm our mission of equipping Christian farmers to make a lasting impact in their communities, both spiritually and practically.â
âIn a world craving authenticity and connection, FCFIâs model of practical gospel serviceâthrough gospel presentations throughout the US, fences rebuilt, crises met, and communities walked alongsideâcontinues to bear transforming fruit.Â
âThis anniversary conference isn't just a celebration of the past; it is a launchpad for future impact in every county, field, and home touched by farms, faith, and fellowship.â
FCFI launched at the American Soybean Association Expo in 1985. Since then, the organization has supported evangelism, disaster relief and mission outreach for farming communities throughout the U.S.Â
Volunteers represent the FCFI at 25 Future Farmers of America (FFA) conventions and many farm shows each year. A âWordless Gospel Walking Stickâ is used as an evangelistic tool with a QR code and coloured beads representing the truths of the gospel story to use as talking points about God when conversing with other farmers.Â
FCFI teams have also mobilized to assist communities, which have been affected by tornadoes, floods, wildfires, and hurricanes in the U.S.âdelivering hay, repairing homes, rebuilding fences, and offering gospel encouragement during hard seasons.Â
The organization has also been active abroad with international short-term mission trips helping to build churches, train pastors, and support refugee families, including âheartfelt ministryâ in Romania and an underground network aiding Ukrainian children.
