LifeSite’s own Frank Wright goes viral as Elon Musk shares video

(LifeSiteNews) — Tech mogul and Tesla founder Elon Musk has promoted a video of LifeSiteNews’ own Frank Wright in which our reporter gives his views on why he sees the United Kingdom and the West in general in decline today.

The  video, which has been seen over 40 million times, was posted by Vox Populi on May 23 and shared by Musk on X without comment on May 24.

Wright made the detailed comments—fluently and without notes—while on the Restore Britain campaign trail in Makerfield, near Manchester, over the weekend. 

“I remember when we used to live in a sane, functioning, stable, and relatively happy country,” says Wright in the video, which has been reshared by LifeSiteNews on X.

Wright noted in the video that one “gets the sense” that commonsense ideals have been “winding down” since the Second World War,

“You can’t escape the fact that we appear to be morally, as well as financially, bankrupt across the West, across Europe, and in Britain,” he said.

“The whole system is in a form of crisis. If you like, what we used to call normal life has been replaced by a permanent state of emergency. in terms of our social in-cohesion, in terms of demographic change.”

Wright noted that there appear to be “no realistic” solutions offered in terms of who one votes for, as the same “mad policies” keep coming up in British politics. 

“If it goes on, we’re finished,” he observed. 

Wright was asked by his interviewer what “finished looks like.”

He said in reply that it looks like spending “all your money on foreign wars” in reference to the U.S. and Britain, and that one can’t “get a job for being competent” due to bad government policies.

“The reason we have a mass migration crisis in Europe is because of the wars in the Middle East,” said Wright.

The United Kingdom, like most of Europe, has been dealing with a mass migration crisis, which Wright said is due to the wars in the Middle East.
