(LifeSiteNews) — Thousands of Catholics will gather across Canada this Saturday to publicly pray the Rosary.
On October 11, during the month of the Rosary, Canada Needs Our Lady (CNOL), a Catholic prayer group, is organizing 1,500 Rosary rallies across the country to honor Our Lady of Fatima and bring Canada back to God.
“The Rosary is more than a prayer — it is a lifeline, a source of hope and protection for our nation. Canada is facing uncertain and challenging times — socially, morally, and spiritually — and our people need the guidance, peace, and strength that come from turning to God and Our Lady,” CNOL administrator Joann Glive told LifeSiteNews.
“Through the Rosary, we reflect on the life of Christ and open our hearts to Our Blessed Mother’s love,” she continued. “Every Hail Mary is a prayer for our families, our communities, our leaders, and our country. It is a light in the darkness, a reminder that God’s mercy and grace are always near. By praying together, Canadians can find unity, courage, and the hope to face the trials of our time — and through Mary’s maternal care, we are led to her Son, who is the source of all strength and peace.”
The objective of Canada Needs Our Lady, a campaign run by the Canadian Society for the Defense of Christian Civilization, is to “obtain the return of Canada to God through the means proposed by Our Lady of Fatima,” and to “win hearts and minds for Our Lady.”
In 2024, the group organized over 1,300 Rosary rallies across Canada. This year, they are aiming for 1,500 to take place on Saturday, October 11 at noon local time. Each rally is organized by a local captain. A map of Rosary rallies across Canada is available on the campaign’s website.
Glive stressed the importance of the Rosary rallies, saying, “Our mission is urgent: to bring Canadians back to prayer, back to the Rosary, and back to the Catholic faith. Canada is facing challenging times, and our nation needs the guidance, protection, and love of Our Blessed Mother more than ever.”
“Through prayer, devotion, and public witness, we can bring grace, healing, and hope to our country,” she encouraged. “Every Rosary said, every gathering of hearts in prayer, is a step toward the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary — a time of renewal, faith, and peace.”
“For those who need a Rosary, Canada Needs Our Lady is happy to provide them, so everyone can join in prayer,” she added. “We invite all Canadians, wherever they are in their faith journey, to unite with us in this mission of prayer, devotion, and love—for God and for Canada.”
