1. What ActsSeeds is
ActsSeeds is the recognition program on ActsSocial. You earn Seeds for taking part in the community, Seeds move you through tiers, and reaching a tier puts gift card credit on a digital gift card you can spend on ActsSocial merchandise.
It is not money and it is not a currency. Seeds cannot be bought, sold, transferred or cashed out, and they have no value outside ActsSocial.
2. How you earn Seeds
You earn Seeds for things like reading a daily devotional, posting a gratitude, praying for another member, posting a Real and inviting someone who goes on to verify their account. Reading a few days in a row earns a streak bonus.
The full list, with the exact number of Seeds each action earns and the rules on streaks and fair participation, is in Section 3 of the ActsSeeds Terms of Participation at actssocial.com/actsseeds-terms. Those numbers can change, so the Terms are the place to check them rather than this page.
3. Tiers and gift card credit
When you reach a tier we create a digital gift card for you automatically. There is nothing to claim. Later tiers add credit to that same card.
The card is issued through Shopify and is redeemable only for ActsSocial merchandise. At checkout it is applied as payment toward your order rather than as a discount, so where sales tax applies it is calculated on the price before your credit. Card credit has no cash value.

4. Staying active
If you go a long stretch without earning any Seeds, your balance rests. We tell you before that happens and there is a grace period. Resting reduces your Seed balance only: it never takes away a tier you have reached, a badge you have earned, or credit already on your gift card. Any action that earns Seeds stops resting immediately.
