The internet does not have to feel the way it has come to feel.

A short statement of what we believe, and what we refuse to do. Last carefully edited May 2026.

01

We believe attention is sacred.

Where you invest your attention daily shapes who you become. A platform engineered to occupy your mind with whatever provokes the strongest emotional reaction is a poor environment for an intentional life.

02

We believe real names belong to real people.

Anonymity is sometimes necessary for journalists, for whistleblowers, and for the vulnerable. But on the mainstream social internet, it has been a shield for the loud and the cruel. ActsSocial is built for the people who would say the same thing to your face.

03

We believe outrage is not a product.

It can be made into one. We refuse. Divisive, loud content does not travel farther here. We tuned the algorithm the opposite way. Gratitude rises.

04

We believe local is the original network.

Your block, your school, your church, your shop. The social internet was supposed to make those stronger. Mostly it has hollowed them out. We start over from the block.

05

We believe you should be able to leave.

Export your data, delete your account, take your photos with you. The relationship is voluntary every single day. We have no lock in tactics by design.

06

We believe a small team can ship a large thing.

We don't move fast and break things. We move slowly and build careful ones. We'd rather ship one feature well than ten poorly. The product reflects the team.

07

We believe in the early internet.

Before everything got loud. Before the feed turned hostile. Before the algorithm decided which photos of your mother to surface. We're trying to put a small, quiet piece of it back.

These are not slogans. They are constraints baked into the product. When we fail to live them, we'd like you to tell us.
